One shot fired during B&E west of Battleford
A scary situation luckily resulted in no injuries in Battleford Sunday morning after a suspect seen breaking into a building fired a shot at a residence.
Battlefords RCMP said in a release they were called to rural property west of Battleford at 5 a.m. to investigate a reported break and enter.
According to police, the investigation determined an unidentified suspect was seen breaking into an outbuilding. RCMP believed the same suspect discharged a firearm once at the residence, resulting in a broken window. No injuries were reported.
The K-9 unit attended and determined the suspect had then fled on foot to a waiting vehicle. RCMP are still searching for the suspect.
