A Saskatoon man is dead following a motor vehicle after being struck by a tractor trailer just east of North Battleford on Friday night.

RCMP Cpl. James Fenrich reported the investigation revealed the pedestrian was walking in the middle of the road on Highway 16 dressed in black. The 22-year-old man was struck by a westbound tractor trailer and pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

Fenrich said the death is not believed to be suspicious and the driver of the tractor trailer had not consumed any alcohol.

The investigation is ongoing.
