Jan 16, 2018 | 2:00 PM

One of the four suspects Battlefords RCMP charged in Dec. 2017, following a police investigation related to drug trafficking of crystal meth and cocaine, has been released on bail.

Graham Baptiste, 34, appeared at North Battleford provincial court via CCTV and was granted consent in a bail hearing, Tuesday.

He is facing 10 charges including trafficking of a controlled substance, possession a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of property obtained by crime.

On Dec. 5, Battlefords RCMP executed several search warrants at various locations across North Battleford and Battleford under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

Police said at the time it was conducting its investigation under the direction of the Battlefords Municipal GIS Unit. Baptiste was one of those arrested in the sting.

As part of a condition of his release, Baptiste must have no contact with the three individuals identified in the court order. He must reside in North Battleford, and abide by a curfew.

He is due to appear at North Battleford provincial court again on Jan. 30 at 10 a.m.

There is a publication ban on reporting the evidence presented during the bail hearing.

The allegations in the case have not been proven in court.
