Man sentenced for mischief, assault involving local Lighthouse

A man who appeared in North Battleford provincial court Tuesday will be going to jail for six months on charges of mischief and assault involving the Lighthouse Serving the Battlefords.

Sunrise Spyglass pleaded guilty to mischief and assaulting a peace officer on Jan. 5.

The incident took place when police were called to the Lighthouse when Spyglass, who appeared to be intoxicated, was acting aggressively while inside the Lighthouse’s kitchen.    

When police arrested Spyglass, he then started kicking the officer.
