Man facing luring charge appears in court

A man facing charges of child luring made his first appearance in North Battleford provincial court Tuesday. 

Lester Wayne Brook Favel, 32 was released under court-ordered conditions and is to have no contact with the complainant or anyone under the age of 16.

He is prohibited from going to locations, such as parks and schools where children under the age of 16 are present.

He is also ordered not to use a computer internet device, other than for employment or educational requirements with permission.

According to news release, RCMP received a complaint from a youth regarding unwanted electronic messages from an adult male.

The matter was investigated and the content of the messages was determined to be of a sexual nature. 

Favel is due back in court on Feb. 26 at 1:30 p.m.  

The allegations have not been proven in court.
