Man facing attempted murder charge in North Battleford

A man facing a charge of attempted murder appeared in North Battleford provincial court Monday after a shooting incident in the city three days ago.

Clayton Favel, 19, who is in custody, made his first court appearance.

The charges relate to a Jan. 5 incident in North Battleford. 

Favel is facing 19 charges including attempted murder using a firearm, pointing a firearm, discharging a firearm with intent, commission of an offence for a criminal organization, possession of property obtained by crime, and dangerous operation of a vehicle, among others.  

He is scheduled to return to North Battleford provincial court on Monday, Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. via CCTV. Favel was held in custody.
