City asks residents to stop verbally abusing city workers

Dec 10, 2017 | 2:37 PM

City of North Battleford administration are asking residents to quell thier verbal abuse towards city workers.

According to city manager Jim Puffalt, residents in the city have been less than kind to snow removal workers.

“People are screaming at our staff and being really rude when we put up barricades to do snow removal,” Puffalt said. “They are actually being abusive to our workers and of course our people are not going to respond to them and will walk away, but there is no reason for them to do that. We are just trying to do our job.”

Puffalt added the city was “sorry” to be “inconveniencing people, but swearing at our staff doesn’t make it any better, in fact, it makes it way worse.”
