Armed robbery in North Battleford under investigation

Battlefords RCMP are asking for the public’s help following an armed robbery in the city early Friday morning.

Around 2 a.m., RCMP received a call that a lone male entered a business located on the 900 block of 101st St. in North Battleford demanding money. The suspect wore black clothing and had his face covered with a bandana and brandished a weapon.

An unknown amount of money was taken from the employee which was placed in a backpack that the suspect had with him. The suspect then fled the scene. The RCMP investigation into this crime is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Battlefords Detachment or Crime Stoppers.
