Carjacking case moved to Maidstone court

The case involving a 29-year-old man charged with carjacking using a weapon has been moved to Maidstone court.

Jeremy Kelly Buffin appeared in North Battleford court on Monday via CCTV from Saskatoon remand centre. His case will resume on Oct. 24.

He is facing charges of robbery of a vehicle, pointing a firearm, using a firearm to commit robbery, possessing a machete for a dangerous purpose, possessing stolen property over $5,000, flight from police, and possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose. 

Police arrested Buffin after he drove his car into a swamp near Maidstone the morning on Oct. 12. The RCMP confirmed the car stolen from a residence located between Lloydminster and Maidstone earlier that morning.
