Warman RCMP is not pursuing charges in a previous complaint about a missing 12-year-old after its investigation.

In May, the detachment issued a press release regarding a possible abduction investigation after the youth was reported missing from a local playground.

Officers also requested the public's assistance in the matter and to send in any video surveillance of the Prairie Oasis Park or near the clean-fill disposal site on Range Road #3051.

Today in a media release Sgt. Chris Cisecki said the investigation showed charges are not warranted in the case which is now concluded. He added there is no threat to public safety in relation to the incident and thanked community members for their cooperation on the file.
