Wesley Veit case set for preliminary hearing

Preliminary hearing dates have now been set for the case involving Wesley John Veit.

Veit faces a first-degree murder charge related to the death of Heidi Veit, his estranged wife.

Wesley Veit, who is currently being held in remand, appeared in Provincial Court in North Battleford via video on Wednesday.

Heidi Veit was found deceased about five kilometres northeast of Wilkie on March 28. She worked at Living Sky School Division as an educational assistant.

Wesley Veit’s preliminary hearing is set for two weeks, from November 6 to 10 and from November 27 to December 1. The charges against him have not been tested in court.
