McHappy day a huge success in North Battleford

May 4, 2017 | 12:00 PM

The generosity of the Battlefords was again evident as hungry patrons dropped by both McDonald’s locations to support the 24th annual McHappy Day yesterday.

Between food and merchandise sales and donations, the final tally raised was just over $10,000. The money will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) in Saskatoon.

“We are extremely happy with the turnout,” Ann Nickolet from the Ronald McDonald House said. “Every year this area raises the bar and we are appreciative and most importantly the families we support appreciate the support as well.”

Every year, the Ronald McDonald House in Saskatoon provides a home away from home for more than 1,000 families including the Battlefords, Meadow Lake and surrounding area. In 2015, over 920 families benefited from RMH including 85 from the Battlefords and 81 from Meadow Lake.
