Big River RCMP investigating after 11-year-old injured in hit and run

Big River RCMP members are looking for more information after a hit and run left an 11-year-old seriously injured last weekend.

On Sunday, April 9 around 9 p.m. members attended the Big River First Nation where a group of five youth were struck by a vehicle. Four of the five youth sustained minor injuries but an 11-year-old girl was taken to RUH by Stars Air Ambulance with serious injuries.

Investigators are looking for more information from the public on the vehicle and its occupants.

The car is a four-door white vehicle. It may have front end damage it sustained during the collision.

Police say witnesses describe seeing six or seven passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
