Fireman’s Ball gives boost to local projects

Many of North Battleford’s bravest showed their support for local charities Friday, when they took part in the first ever North West College Fireman’s Ball.

The fundraiser event, which included dinner, music and dancing, along with a live and silent auction, was held last night at the Gold Ridge Centre in North Battleford.

Proceeds from the NWC Fireman’s Ball will help two registered charities – the North West College Scholarship Fund and the North Battleford Firefighters Local 1756 Charity Fund.

North West College partnered with Local 1756 for the gala fundraiser.

Kendra Rowswell, marketing and communications officer for North West College in North Battleford, thanked all the firefighters and everyone who participated in the event for helping to make it a success.
