Suspect Tasered after ramming Saskatoon police cruiser

Saskatoon police used a stun gun on a man who allegedly fled from officers in a stolen truck.
Police stated in a media release that officers spotted a 2012 Ford Raptor on the 800 block of Avenue O South around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The truck had been reported stolen in the R.M. of Dundurn.
As officers approached, the driver allegedly backed into the front of a police cruiser before speeding off.
Later that evening, RCMP reportedly found the truck at a rural property near Martensville. Saskatoon police sent members of the Tactical Support Unit and a K9 unit to assist.
Officers arrived at the property just before 10 p.m.
The driver of the Raptor allegedly tried to take off again, ramming another cruiser in the process.
Police said a Taser was used to subdue the 27-year-old suspect.
Officers reportedly found a loaded shotgun sitting in the cab of the truck following the arrest.
The accused is facing charges of possessing stolen property, evading police, dangerous driving and weapons offences. He’s also charged with fleeing from police in a different vehicle on Sunday.
Police said the suspect was unlawfully at large at the time of these incidents, with multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.
