RCMP rescue two from burning house
Loon Lake RCMP risked their lives to save those of two others; including one man twice.
On March 1, at roughly 6:20 p.m., police responded to a potential assault call at a residence on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.
Upon arrival, RCMP discovered the house was on fire. Two officers entered the house, located a woman and helped remove her to safety. She was not injured.
Police then re-entered the burning house and helped a man escape. They re-entered a last time, searching the main level and basement for anyone else still in the house. No one else was located.
