UPDATE: RCMP searching for multiple suspects in 7-11 robbery

UPDATE: battlefordsNOW has learned that more than one suspect robbed the 7-11 at 1752 100th St. this morning. According to a source, the suspects smashed the glass counter with a baseball bat containing scratch-and-wins, grabbed a cash till and took off on foot. One suspect dropped the cash till and fled, while another was apprehended. According to Battlefords RCMP, the investigation is continuing, and they have confirmed they are looking for “multiple suspects.”

 

One person is in custody following an early morning armed robbery at a North Battleford convenience store.

RCMP say the incident occurred around 7 a.m. today, Feb. 24, at the 7-11 convenience store at 1752 100th St. Police say a man walked into the store brandishing a baseball bat and demanded cash. He then fled the scene with a small amount of money, but was later apprehended.

No store staff were injured and the store has reopened since the incident.
