N.B. Hyundai one of the top dealerships across Canada

North Battleford Hyundai was awarded for being one the best dealers of its brand through all its stores across the nation.

The dealership received a President’s Award of Merit (PAM) for its work in 2016, the second time the dealer won the accolade in the past three years.

“Last year we were really trying to win it again but we just came up a little short and it happens, sometimes short will just past you but we’re a very consistent store,” manager Gord Pidde said. “This store has increased in volume and sales each year in a down market. Last year with the oil was tough and this year even tougher.”

While they didn’t win last year, Pidde said they were still ranked the top store in the prairies. It seems to be a similar trend this year, with North Battleford Hyundai the only store in Saskatchewan to be recognized.

The PAM awards, handed out by Hyundai, recognize 15 stores out of 220 throughout the country, with stores compared to others similar in size. Different categories are considered, including customer satisfaction, new car sales, extended warranty sales and market shares.

Pidde points to the community of the Battlefords for them winning this award yet again, saying nobody is as loyal as the citizens who live here.

“We support the community, and they support us. If you support the community strong they’ll support you,” Pidde said. “It’s important to have great staff, and we do, loyal and experience, but the community has backed us and we really appreciate it. We feel very humbled on the award and it’s due to the strength and the loyalty and character of the community. It’s the best place to live there is.”
