Dog possibly poisoned in N.B.

Battlefords RCMP received a complaint Sunday of a dog possibly being poisoned.

According to a news release, the dog might have been poisoned by an unknown suspect the previous week on 113th St. Police said the matter is under investigation.

Also Sunday, RCMP responded to an assault at a rural residence in the Cochin area at roughly 3 p.m. The accused was known to the victim, who reported minor injuries, but was gone by the time police arrived.

Police are still trying to locate and arrest the accused, while a charge of assault is pending.

RCMP are also looking for a vehicle reported stolen overnight Saturday. The green 2014 Ford F250 was stolen from 28th St. It has Saskatchewan license plate 290KGH.
