RCMP respond to two hit-and-runs Monday

Charges are pending for a suspect in one hit-and-run collision yesterday, while RCMP are investigating another.

According to a news release, Battlefords RCMP responded to a hit-and-run just after noon on Dec. 12, at the corner of 93rd St. and 15th Ave. Police said the driver of one vehicle who fled was identified and charges are pending.

Later that day at 4:42 p.m. RCMP received a report of another hit-and-run in the city. The suspect vehicle was identified as a small black truck. The investigation is ongoing.

RCMP also responded to several break-ins and thefts Monday.

At 10 a.m. there was a report of a SeaDoo stolen from a residential yard.

On Monday afternoon, there were two reported thefts from local businesses. One had gas stolen and the other had several items stolen that were later recovered.

At almost 4 p.m. there was a break and enter reported at a residence on 100th St., which is still under investigation.

Then at roughly 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. there were break and enter incidents reported at two residences on 107th St., but nothing was reported stolen.

The incidents remain under investigation.
