Delta Co-op taking on privatized liquor stores in Unity and Wilkie

The Delta Co-op will be adding to its services in Unity and Wilkie after being selected for two of Saskatchewan’s new privatized liquor store licences.

General manager Joe Reddekopp said the government’s decision to privatize the liquor stores provided a business opportunity for the Co-op, and thinks it will result in more convenience for customers.

“It’s a chance to serve our people better, our members,” he said. “They’ll be able to have a one-stop shopping experience.”

Reddekopp said the Co-op may also be able to provide more competitive prices for customers.
