Candidate wants to ensure Battleford remains affordable and safe

Shelley Boutin-Gervais is hoping to rejoin council on a platform of fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability, but hopes most of all to keep Battleford safe and affordable.

With many changes made over the last year, the candidate wants to bring her newly gained knowledge back to council.

“I feel it’s important to have experience on council due to some of the senior management changes that have happened over the past year from retirements, to provide some continuity to the council chambers,” Boutin-Gervais said.

Boutin-Gervais has served one term on council and said she’s always been involved in the community she was born and raised in. She sits on the Parks and Recreation Board and the Fred Light Museum Board and in the past has been a board member for Battleford Minor Hockey and the North Stars.
