Road report: Slippery highways in Sask.

Roads across the province are slick with icy patches and blowing snow.

On Highway 1 from the Manitoba border to the Alberta border roads are wet and subject to freezing with areas of drifting snow and icy or slippery sections.

Travel isn’t recommended on Highway 1 from Regina all the way to Gull Lake due to wet roads subject to freezing, icy or slippery sections and drifting snow.

Provincial highways in Regina are wet and subject to freezing with icy or slippery sections, slush and swirling snow. Travel isn’t recommended.

Provincial highways in Moose Jaw also have icy sections with snow drifts, packed snow and drifting snow.

In the past 24 hours, Regina police have gone to 13 collisions. That’s not including minor fender benders where police weren’t called.

RCMP detachments across Saskatchewan received multiple minor collision complaints Wednesday night and through Thursday morning. RCMP are warning people to adjust for the conditions, pack an emergency kit and snow brush before leaving.
