One person dead, another hurt after struck by bus in Banff National Park: RCMP
BANFF, Alta. — A woman was killed and a man was injured when they were struck by a tour bus in Banff National Park on Wednesday.
Police said the two passengers got off the bus and were hit when the empty vehicle rolled forward and down an embankment at the Castle Mountain viewpoint between Banff and Lake Louise.
“A man and woman were standing in front of the bus,” Cpl. Hal Turnbull said. “For some reason the bus rolled forward and struck both of them before going over the embankment and coming to rest at the bottom, which is about 20 metres or so.”
No one else was injured.
