Walk for missing indigenous men marches through Saskatoon

Sep 13, 2016 | 3:28 PM

A walk from Prince Albert to Regina made its way through Saskatoon Monday.

Colleen Whitedeer is leading a small group to raise awareness for the thousands of missing and murdered indigenous men across Canada.

“I started this because my brother has been missing for almost two years,” said Colleen Whitedeer, whose brother Timothy Charlette was last seen in October 2014.

Whitedeer made her way south through Saskatoon and plans to walk all the way to Regina.

“I want to get there before the legislature starts and will be sending messages to Brad Wall to see what happens,” She said.
