Three arrested after Lashburn crime spree

Police arrested two adults and a youth following an overnight crime spree in Lashburn.

On Aug. 24 at approximately 11:45 p.m. the Corner Store in Lashburn was broken into by an adult male, an adult female and a youth male, causing damage to the store and theft of property under $5,000. Police said on Aug. 25, the store was broken into again between 12:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. This time numerous items were stolen including cartons of cigarettes, food, the surveillance system, computer and damages totalling over $21,000.

The three suspects then went around Lashburn checking for open vehicles. Approximately four campers and between 10 and 15 vehicles were entered. The suspects found a vehicle with the keys inside and stole it, driving to Lloydminster. RCMP located the vehicle in Lloydminster and the vehicle fled after a stop attempt was made. The vehicle was discovered shortly after back in Lashburn, police said.

Brayden Coolidge of Lashburn, 19, Destiny Kallis of Lloydminster and a 17-year-old male youth that cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act are facing multiple charges including conspiracy, theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of break and enter and two counts of mischief.
