Police investigate stabbing in North Battleford

Police are investigating a weekend stabbing on the east side of North Battleford.

According to the daily roundup from the RCMP for the period ending at 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, a male victim was stabbed early that morning. Officers were called just after 4 a.m. to Trudeau St. in the College Heights neighbourhood.

The victim was taken to hospital. There was no information provided about his age, or how seriously he was hurt.

The incident capped off a very busy 24-hour period for the Battlefords RCMP detachment, which responded to 107 calls for service, including 18 disturbance complaints, and 10 calls related to driving.
