Aug 20, 2016 | 3:49 PM

RCMP said safety and security is their number-one priority, as the force continued to monitor events related to the death of Colten Bouchie.

In a news release issued Saturday, Aug. 20 the police force said it continued to be concerned about comments made on social media, some of which could be criminal in nature. RCMP said all complaints are taken seriously and urged people with concerns to contact them.

Gerald Stanley, the Biggar-area man charged with second-degree murder in Bouchie’s death, was released on $10,000 bail, in a written decision issued late in the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 19. Stanley pleaded not guilty to the murder charge the previous day.
