Aug 18, 2016 | 4:52 PM

The Biggar-area man accused in the second-degree murder of Colten Boushie will remain in custody until at least Friday, after the judge reserved his bail decision today.

Gerald Stanley appeared in Court of Queen’s Bench in Battleford on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 18 for his bail hearing. The judge said his decision on Stanley’s release would be delivered in writing either tomorrow or next week.

The evidence presented during the bail hearing is covered by a publication ban ordered by the judge.

During the hearing, the courtroom was filled to capacity with several RCMP members standing by. Family members of both Boushie and Stanley were present. During the proceedings some in attendance cried while others, overcome by emotion, had to be helped out of the courtroom.
