Police arrest 2 in escape attempt at Saskatoon Correctional Centre

Police arrested two men who allegedly tried to escape from the Saskatoon Correctional Centre on Wednesday afternoon.
 
In a media release, police reported that the first inmate never made it off the facility grounds before being apprehended around 12:45 p.m.
 
A second man, 24, was reportedly found hiding in a garbage bin at a strip mall near the jail on the 3500 block of Millar Avenue,
 
Police said officials with the correctional centre are investigating the incident.
