The Roughriders have won their first game of the season thanks to the foot of their kicker in a 30-29 win.

Tyler Crapigna was five for five on field goals including a game winning 53-yard field goal with just over a minute to go.

The Riders defense then stopped the Redblacks to seal the win. It was also quarterback Mitchell Gale who helped the team mount a fourth quarter comeback in his first start in the CFL.
