Hydrant replacement leads to water advisory

Jun 30, 2016 | 10:26 AM

The city of North Battleford has issued a drinking water advisory to residents on a west-side street, due to a hydrant replacement.

The work was scheduled for 17th Ave. between 91st St. and Gregory Dr. between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday, June 30, leading to a water-off. As a result, 17th Ave. was also being closed to traffic between 91st and Gregory Dr.

The city said it has already delivered notices of a Drinking Water Advisory to affected homes. Once their water is turned on, they are advised to boil any water before consuming it, until the advisory is lifted.
