Debut Live at Lunch leaves locals hungry for more

Jun 8, 2016 | 5:00 PM

The kick-off to North Battleford’s fun summer in the park took off today, June 8 with the debut Live at Lunch concert series performance.

As the band settled in to play a rousing set of rock and roll with golden classics and blues-inspired original songs, people came to listen and share a meal under the shade of a tree in North Battleford’s public park.

The Gamble Brothers, a fun-loving duo hailing from the Duck Lake community chatted with the crowd and strummed their guitars to the tunes of The Doors and the Dire Straits. They also payed homage to Johnny Cash and the rocking blues of Bo Diddly and Buddy Guy.

The group also unleashed a few of their original tracks on the audience, including some blues-inspired songs about their Aboriginal heritage.
