RCMP investigating possible arson in Spiritwood

Spiritwood RCMP are investigating a possible arson at a home in the area.
According to a news release, RCMP were called to a residential structure fire at about 10:15 a.m. Friday, May 27.
When officers arrived, the residence was almost entirely burned and a detached garage was completely destroyed. A pole quonset and vacant cabin were still on fire and Chitek Lake Fire Department and Provincial Firefighters were on the scene.
Police said the owner of the building wasn’t home at the time and there were no injuries reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
