Assault caught on camera; charges laid

Battleford RCMP have laid charges after a video of a woman assaulting another woman made the rounds on social media. 

In the video, a woman is punched, kneed and kicked in the head and face. RCMP say the attack appears unprovoked. 

RCMP have located and interviewed the victim, who sustained minor injuries. 

The woman who allegedly filmed the attack has been arrested, and is set to face assault charges. She has been released from custody and will appear at North Battleofrd Provincial Court Monday, June 27. 

The second woman, identified as Danielle Wuttunee of North Battleford, remains at large.
