Hostages plead for life in new video released by Philippine terror group

May 3, 2016 | 10:30 AM

The militant group in the Philippines responsible for the murder of Yorkton’s John Ridsdel have released video of three hostages, including Canadian Robert Hall.

Ridsdel, 68, was killed last week, and captors threaten the same fate if an $8-million ransom for each hostage is not paid.

Ridsdel and Hall were among four people kidnapped from a marina on southern Samal Island in September and taken by boat to Sulu.

Another video posted online Tuesday shows the captors beheading Ridsdel after a ransom demand was not met.
