UPDATE: RCMP believe they’ve found Troy Napope’s body

After resuming their search for the body of Troy Napope, RCMP believe they have found his body.

RCMP said their Underwater Recovery Team discovered human remains in a body of water in the rural area west of the Saskatchewan Penitentiary at 9 a.m.

An autoposy is scheduled for April 22 in Saskatoon to confirm the identity of the body. 

The remains had been found on a private property; the property owners are not connected to the investigation.

Although charges have been laid in this case, the investigation into Napope’s death is ongoing.

Napope, 23, was last seen in Prince Albert on May 28, 2015. Two men, Braidy Vermette and Skylar Bird, were charged with first degree murder in relation to Napope’s disappearance.
