Garth Brooks to play Saskatoon in June

Apr 20, 2016 | 10:06 AM

He wants to make prairie fans feel his love – and he’s doing it with a massive show in Saskatoon.

In response to many unanswered prayers, Garth Brooks announced Wednesday his upcoming world tour with Trisha Yearwood is coming to the city that shines.

It’s been 20 years since Sask. fans swooned to Brooks’ tunes, which include hits like Friends in low Places, The Dance and What She’s Doing Now.

In August 2015, News Talk Radio asked Brooks when he’d be back in Saskatchewan.

“This is one of the greatest markets to play, I mean we’ve been in Saskatoon twice and had a great time. So this is the place to play,” Brooks said.

“They don’t let me see the cities coming because they know I’ll tell – because I can’t keep a secret – but I know we’ll get up here and I look forward to it when we do.”

The concert takes place at SaskTel Centre on Saturday, June 11 at 7 p.m.

Tickets go on sale April 29 at 10 a.m. CST, with some notable restrictions:

Tickets can only be purchased through ticketmaster.ca/garthbrooks or Ticketmaster Express.

No tickets will be sold at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets on April 29.

There will be an eight-ticket limit per purchase.

The price is set at $68.31 per ticket. With a facility fee, GST and service charge included, the total price to see the man with the black hat comes to $79.98.
