North Battleford Golf and Country Club opens for another season

Golfers might want to dust of their clubs ahead of the weekend because the North Battleford Golf and Country Club is now open for the season.

The 18-hole course opened its doors Thursday and director of golf Dana Johnson said he and his staff are excited for another year.

“Mother Nature has co-operated, it’s a nice day today and the golf course is in great shape.”

Johnson said while golfers had to walk the first day, carts will be available from Friday onward. Regardless, the course was busy this morning and Johnson added the weekend tee times were booking up quickly.

Johnson said North Battleford’s course is as high a quality as courses much larger.

“We’ve got PGA professionals on staff, we offer lessons, we’ve got a great selection of clubs in our pro shop, we custom fit everything and have club repair,” he said.

North Battleford Golf and Country Club was voted in the top-10 of all courses in Saskatchewan and Manitoba in 2013.
