Elementary school employees on Sask. First Nation facing charges
Two elementary school employees on the Beardy’s Okemasis First Nation were recently terminated.
George Gamble, formally of Chief Beardy Memorial Elementary School, is facing charges of sexual exploitation and sexual interference.
Candace Scott, a counsellor in charge of education on the reserve, said the other employee is also facing charges. She added the terminations were unrelated.
Scott said she could not provide any other details but said students at the school were not involved in the separate incidences.
