Armed robbery near Battlefords Union Hospital

Police in North Battleford are asking for public assistance after a convenience store near Battlefords Union Hospital was robbed.

On Monday April 12, at approximately 8:15 p.m. Battlefords RCMP were called to Wally’s Food Basket confectionary on the corner of 107th St. and 11th Ave. A suspect had threatened staff with a knife and then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, and no injuries are reported.

The suspect is described as male, between 5’6” and 6’0”, wearing camouflage pants, black coat and a dark blue mask over his face.

Police continue to investigate, however anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crimestoppers.
