Meadow Lake man facing child pornography charges

A Meadow Lake man is facing 11 criminal charges after being arrested by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit and Meadow Lake RCMP on April 7.

The male, whose name is not being released to protect his victims, is facing four counts of luring, two counts of making, possessing and distributing child pornography as well as charges for sexual interference and making explicit sexual material available to a child.

The ICE investigation began in August 2015 in conjunction with Southend RCMP and the Estes Park Police Department in Colo. The joint inquiry investing the internet luring of two children under the age of 14, one from Canada and the other from the United States.

In a media release from the ICE Unit, both children have been confirmed safe.
