A couple of employees with the City of North Battleford have received awards for their outstanding service.

The presentations were made during the Saskatchewan Public Works Association’s 57th Annual Conference and Trade Show.

Part of the three day SPWA conference was to recognize Public Works professionals for their achievements and service.

North Battleford’s Engineering Coordinator Dan Maloney was named the Public Works Person of the Year. The award recognizes his service and dedication to not only the public but also his profession and the SPWA.

Director of Operations Stewart Schafer received the Harry S. Swearingen Award acknowledging his service to the local chapter of the American Public Works Association.

The conference ran from Feb. 23 to Feb. 25 in Regina.
