Senior charged in murder of Waterhen Lake man

A 62-year-old male has been charged in the death of Waterhen Lake First Nation man.

At roughly 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 25, 2016, Meadow Lake RCMP attended to a report of a deceased male. 56-year-old Tommy Fiddler was reported to be suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on the scene.

The males were known to each other.

Gordon Joseph Fiddler, also of Waterhen Lake First Nation, is charged with second degree murder and prohibited possession of a firearm.

Fiddler will appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Monday, Feb. 29 at 9:30 a.m.
