Man pulled from Saskatoon river

A man is recovering in hospital after he was pulled from the river early Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 24. 

Saskatoon Fire Department got a call from police around 11:54 a.m. about a possible person in the river near the Broadway Bridge.

Within half a hour, fire crews had launched their water rescue team and and found a man along the west bank near the University Bridge at Spadina Crescent and 24th Street.

The unresponsive 43-year-old was treated for hypothermia and taken to Royal University Hospital.
