North Battleford braves cold night to help Lighthouse

Feb 22, 2016 | 6:06 AM

North Battleford residents braved the “Coldest Night of the Year” to support the Lighthouse Shelter.

Caitlin Glencross, general manager of the Lighthouse, ran the nationwide fundraiser that saw 150 people come out.

“There are 90 other locations across Canada that will be walking to raise awareness for homelessness, as well as raise funds for the local homeless shelter,” she said. “Everything raised in the Battlefords is staying with the Lighthouse.”

This is the first time this fundraiser has been held in the Battlefords. Glencross thought it was a big success.
